Alta Via Anfiteatro Morenico

Alta Via of Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre is a majestic circular route: it runs clockwise along the morain left during Quaternary by the glacier retreat from the plain at the end of the valley of Dora Baltea river.

SALIENT FEATURES
You can enjoy, while walking, the view of many lakes nested into the green landscape of the area (Lake Viverone, the 5 lakes near Ivrea, Lake Candia and its park), the Masino Castle and its century old park, picturesque villages, woods, vineyards where grapes are grown to produce prestigious wines such as Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG: thanks to its amazing cultural, historical and landscape heritage, this region offers many opportunities to visit its monuments and discover its beauties while hiking.

This area provides lots of oppurtunities to practice outdoor activities, whether in the air, water or on the ground; many athletes from all over the world gather here to take part to Morenic Trail every year www.morenictrail.com.

CONNECTIONS AND TRANSPORT

Andrate can be reached from Quincinetto tollgate on Torino-Aosta A5 highway, or from Biella.

Brosso can be reached from Ivrea (20km) or Quincinetto (24km) tollagates on Torino-Aosta A5 highway.

Masino Castle can be reached from Albiano tollgate on A4/A5 highway (2km).
