DESCRIPTION
The stage, mainly flat or in slight descent, runs along the ridge of the Ivrea Serra moraine (Site of Community Importance SCI) from Andrate to Lake Bertignano. Serra moraine is one of the best European examples of glacial morainic system: set at the exit of a great Alpine valley it is still almost intact thanks to the special protection regime established for its conservation.
