Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre

With VisitAMI visitors of our territory can discover and explore all of the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre (AMI) potential.

The Amphitheatre, located next to the alpine massif of Valle d’Aosta, is one of the most relevant sites of glacier origin in the world. The AMI extends over an area of approximately 530 square kilometers and was generated during the Quaternary period by the erosion and accumulation action of the Balteo glacier.

The AMI, with its capital located in its centre, in the city of Ivrea, offers numerous opportunities to visitors: museums, eco-museums, castles, archeological sites, religious works, parks and many places were it is possible to play sports and perform outdoor activities, a rich program of events.
