Trekking LAKE NERO LOOP (STAGE 2) DESCRIPTION The walk leads to the mysterious and wild hollow, of glacial origin, of Lake Nero. In its first stretch, the trail joins Maresco di Bienca, a lake basin used in Roman times to provide ancient Eporedia with water through an aqueduct, whose ruins are still visible partly. LAKE PISTONO LOOP (STAGE 4 and 4A) DESCRIPTION The walk leads to the hollow of glacial origin of Lake Pistono. Cobbled roads and ancient tracks wind along vineyards and through chestnut woods and offer many views of Montalto castle. The path passes through Grange Merletto (1070 m), Grange Rat (1230 m), the pastures of Bardansan (1236 m), where the woods end and plants become sparse. The course then crosses the road and climbs up the steep path to Colle Pian dei Muli, a good panoramic point to enjoy the view on whole Canavese. After that it climbs again to Colle della Forca (2458 m). From here the way leads to a little lake (2300 m) and to Alpe la Balma (2289 m).
