Four apartment houses

Marcello Nizzoli e Gian Mario Olivieri (1950)

These houses close the residential area at the West sideand are anexample of the continuous study on housing promoted in the City, which led to a great variety of accommodations, turning the city into a laboratory for ideas and proposals.

Gold and stone Laboratory Museum

The museum originated from a research by the University of Turin to promote the areas of the Bassa Serra and the archeological area of antique Victimula, at San Secondo. The rooms are dedicated to working of gold and stone, the Giovanna de’ Monduro witch trial, the Resistance with the Salussola massacre and the figure of don Francesco Cabrio. A space dedicated to a collection of antique weighing scales and steelyards.

Houses for large families

Luigi Figini and Gino Pollini (1940)

These houses resulted from a long study process on the typology of houses for workers. They were promoted bytwo architects from Milan in various projects and studies since 1934 with the aim of shaping Ivrea, as the industrial city. These buildings, like the ICO Officine, are considerably well-known among professionals and intellectuals, that debate about modern architecture before and after War.

Il Meleto Villa

The Il Meleto of Agliè Villa, called this way because the entrance driveway and the surrounding land, were cultivated as an orchard, it was the summer residence of the poet Guido Gozzano. Ivrea Castle

The current structure of the Ivrea Castle, located in the high section of the city, in proximity of the Duomo, is the result of subsequent transformations and reconstructions that however maintained the typical character of fortified architecture.

Marini Palace

Inside the original Medieval village, in proximity of the gate towards Ivrea, you will find the Palazzo Marini building complex, made of a stately section towards the South and a rustic portion towards the North.
